Who are the Denisovans? Are they related to the Red Deer Cave People?
Scientists hope to establish a genome link between both groups
Newly discovered remains in the Red Deer Cave in China suggest a link to the Denisovans, who are a previously unknown human species that survived right up until the end of the last ice age. First noted as a Paleolithic cave people found in Altai Krai, Russia, the Denisovans, or Denisova Hominin, are named after the cave where bones and artifacts were found.
